Position: Project Engineer
Location: Department of General Services (DGS) - Hospital Building | Atascadero, CA

Start Date: September 2025
Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000 per year plus benefits,

About the Project:
$70M project for 500k sf of roof demo and replacement, including replacement of all rooftop air handling units, ductwork, hydronic piping, and supporting rooftop systems. The facility is a fully operational psychiatric hospital and the work will be implemented in phases. The project also includes an electrical upgrade to the facility.is being constructed at an operational psychiatric hospital with strict security protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 3 years in Construction Management/ General Contractor experience

What You’ll Do:

• On-site construction administration and support for the Project Manager.

• Assist with client communication, weekly meetings, project costs, project schedules, quality assurance (QA), monthly reports, and related tasks.

• Responsible for processing GC submittals, RFIs, and other administrative items.

• Coordinate field problem solving with the GC and design team.

• Interact with clients (DGS/DSH), the design team, and GC to proactively resolve issues and ensure a successful project.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Construction Management In-Training Certification.
