Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a hospital construction project in Napa, CA. This role requires a strong background in vertical construction and HVAC systems, with the ability to manage all aspects of a complex healthcare facility build. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget delivery while meeting the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination

    • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resources.

    • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones.

  • On-Site Management

    • Oversee daily construction activities and site operations for the hospital project.

    • Supervise subcontractors and site personnel, resolving issues promptly to avoid delays.

  • Technical Oversight

    • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

    • Ensure HVAC systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet healthcare facility requirements.

  • Cost & Quality Control

    • Track project costs, manage change orders, and prepare detailed progress reports.

    • Conduct inspections to maintain high-quality standards throughout all phases.

  • Compliance & Safety

    • Maintain strict compliance with hospital construction codes, healthcare regulations, and OSHA safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5–10 years in construction management, with substantial experience in vertical construction.

    • Proven track record managing vertical projects. Medical or public works preferred.

    • Hands-on involvement with HVAC systems in large-scale facilities.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Proficient with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.

    • Ability to interpret complex construction documents.

  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • PMP, LEED Accreditation, OSHA Safety Certification.
